I am moving to a new school next year and teaching a combination class of 4th and 5th graders. It is my hope that I can instill a love of reading in each of my students. Two things that can really motivate students to read is a) a choice in their reading material based on interests and reading level and b) a cozy spot to enjoy these books. By filling my classroom library with diverse books for all reading levels, each of my students can discover the power of reading and enjoy doing so in our book nook! There is no better sight than seeing little minds devouring good books in cozy spots throughout our classroom.
