These books are hand selected by a committee and target specifically fourth and fifth grade readers. By providing them with these books in person, my hope is to increase interest in these authors and different reading genres. \r\n\r\nThese books provide my classroom with diverse characters and plots, which is one of the main goals of mine as a teacher. I want every single child in my class to be able to read a book and recognize themselves in the characters or find the plot similar to their lives.
