It has always been my goal to have one to one technology in my classroom. In other words, an electronic device in the hands of every student in my class. Students who are engaged in computer- based instruction are more likely to score higher on state achievement tests than those who only receive traditional book instruction. As an educator of today's youth, I want my students to be successful. I'm a first year teacher in the GV school district and I believe having technology in my classroom will help engage and promote student learning. My students will be using the tablets throughout the curriculum. We will use them for scientific research. We will use them to read eBooks throughout the various genres we study throughout the year. The students will use them everyday to write, revise, and write some more using google docs. The tablets will help me make learning fun and relevant.
