We use them on a daily basis in class. Students love to sit around the room and read or work together. I have several students that struggle to see the board from their seats and the carpet allows them to sit on something a little softer. \r\n\r\nI did have to move the carpet from my classroom library, which is where I originally planned to use the rug and cushions. It has made keeping their materials for class organized so much easier. Students use both items daily. They use the book boxes to carry their things to and from their switch class. It helps them carry everything, and to know they are prepared for their next class.\r\n\r\nWe use the mail boxes daily in class as well. The mailboxes hold their curriculum materials for class. This helps us keep up with their workbooks and keep track of their readers as well. \r\n\r\nI am so grateful there are people out there that want to support teachers, classrooms, and students. The benefits of having an audio library are many, such as exposure to literature for students with little to no reading resources outside of school, access to age-appropriate materials, and exposure to advanced vocabulary.\r\n\r\n Many students lack reading materials outside of school. This causes them to fall behind in reading ability and comprehension of grade-level materials. When a student struggles with reading, they cannot access the same age-appropriate, grade-level texts as their peers. They are unable to have discussions with their peers about popular texts. If a student is only able to read below grade level materials, they are only being exposed to vocabulary they already know. These students aren't exposed to new vocabulary, therefore not growing in comprehension.\r\n The audio library has already helped students in my classroom in all three of these ways. Students get excited to have the dual audio-print experience. They are able to experience the same things their peers are experiencing and grow through exposure to advanced vocabulary.
