So much is digital in today's classrooms, but student really appreciate when they can have physical copies of books and use pens and paper when its appropriate. This happened only because of your support! Our district funds no longer allocate funds for buying books for our classes so bringing in anything new has been a real challenge. Your generosity has made such a difference for our students!\r\n\r\nThanks to your funding, we were able to purchase healthy snacks for our student-led fundraiser, and it's been a huge success! The students are using these snacks to raise money for college visit trips, which are such an important part of our AVID program. These trips give our students a chance to step onto college campuses, see what college life is really like, and start imagining themselves as college students. And your support is making it all possible!\r\n\r\nWhen the snacks first arrived, the students were thrilled. One of them shouted, \"This is going to be so much fun!\" Another student added, \"I can't wait to see how much we raise!\" Their excitement was contagious, and it was amazing to see them dive right in and take ownership of the project. They worked together to plan the fundraiser, create posters, and set up snack stations during lunch. Watching them collaborate, problem-solve, and take pride in their work has been one of the most rewarding parts of this project.\r\n\r\nThis fundraiser has been a chance for our students to learn real-life skills like financial literacy, teamwork, and the value of hard work. One student told me, \"I never realized how much goes into planning something like this.\" Your support has also had a big impact on our students' well-being. The healthy snacks have not only kept them energized but also helped them stay focused and feel their best throughout the day. \r\n\r\nWhat's next? We're planning college visits to several universities, and have already scheduled a visit to Dunwoody College of Technology in two weeks using the funds raised so far. These trips will give them a chance to explore campuses, attend info sessions, and talk to college students and faculty. It's such an important step in helping them see themselves as future college students and motivating them to chase their dreams.\r\n\r\nNone of this would have been possible without you. Your generosity has not only provided the resources for this fundraiser but also empowered our students. They're learning, growing, and thriving because of your support. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for believing in our students and investing in their success.","fullyFundedDate":1734733699394,"projectUrl":"project/fueling-futures-fundraising-for-college/8767470/","projectTitle":"Fueling Futures: Fundraising for College Dreams","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Hobbins","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp3809557_orig.jpg?crop=564,564,x89,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1724178487234","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/3809557"},{"teacherId":8998865,"projectId":8945369,"letterContent":"Oh my oh my oh my getting these items was like an early Christmas gift.
