With our after school band program being cancelled, I am planning to use these instruments with my 4th and 5th graders to give them the opportunity to learn something close to traditional band instruments. \r\n\r\nThe toot is an awesome hybrid instrument because the fingerings are the same as a recorder but you can change the lip plate to be something that you just blow in or give it a little more of a challenge and have a traditional flute lip plate.
