Your gift is helping my students find their calm, The Origami Activities & Yarn have been incredible for fine motor focus. The rhythmic nature of folding paper or working with yarn allows students to enter a \"flow state,\" quietening their minds as they concentrate on the task at hand. The Where's Waldo Books are a classroom favorite for visual grounding. When a student feels a \"big emotion\" coming on, focusing on the intricate details of a search-and-find book helps them step back and regain composure. The LCD Writing Tablets provide a silent, low-pressure outlet for students to doodle, write out their frustrations and erase, or simply draw patterns until they feel ready to rejoin the group. The Water Doodle Mat offers a unique, mess-free sensory experience. The cool touch of the water and the temporary nature of the art allow students to \"let go\" of their stress as the water evaporates.\r\n\r\nBecause of your support, my students are learning that it is okay to need a moment to themselves. Instead of feeling stuck in a moment of frustration, they now have a menu of options to calm their bodies and reset their intentions.
