I love incorporating the play doh into modeling activities for the class. In fact last week I used it to create wind turbine shapes with the class. \r\n\r\nIn a unit talking about gardening it was so fun to have students work together to create a garden out of blocks. The used the blocks to see how high they could build a town and what it meant to make a structurally strong tower. The tower activity led to us using the bridge building kits with some class. \r\n\r\nStudents have loved the variety of lessons having all these things has led to for them. With younger scholars I have read some books donated. With the older scholars (grades 5-8) many of the materials have been used to for crafting and modeling lessons; from creating animal habitats, to simple machines and even the fasted ramp to send cars down! \r\n\r\nIt's awesome to have some treats on hand to reward my students when there is a job well done as well! I received many different things and I am looking forward to use even more items the remainder of the year! Additionally, I am pumped to use some decoration items in my room next year!
