With the help of a colleague who 3D-printed custom hooks, we were able to get the curtains hung, and they immediately changed the feel of the space. I share the band room with our school food pantry, Little Kitchen, as well as PTA storage, so there is frequent foot traffic and a significant amount of storage on the other side of the room. The curtains help visually define the music space, making it feel calmer, cleaner, and more intentional for students—even when people are coming and going.\r\n\r\nWhen students first saw the changes, they commented on how much more \"put together\" and focused the room felt. The desk organizer has helped streamline my workspace, which will make transitions smoother and allow me to spend more time working directly with students instead of managing materials. Even small shifts like this matter in a shared space, and the students notice when their learning environment feels cared for and respected.\r\n\r\nAs I return to teaching, I'm really looking forward to fully integrating the guitar tuners into our instruction. They'll allow students to take more ownership of tuning and instrument care as we continue building toward performance and ensemble skills. These resources are helping transform a heavily shared room into a functional, focused music classroom.
