The tools became an essential part of our recent Cardboard Arcade project inspired by \"Caine's Arcade\". Students designed, built, and tested their own arcade games using cardboard and recycled materials, and the ChompSaws allowed them to safely and independently cut pieces for ramps, targets, levers, and decorations. The excitement in the classroom was incredible as students realized they could bring their ideas to life with real engineering tools made just for kids.\r\n\r\nOne of the most rewarding moments was watching younger students visit the arcade and explore the games the fourth graders created. Our students proudly explained how they built each game and demonstrated how the ChompSaws helped them solve design challenges during construction. The younger students were fascinated by both the arcade games and the tools, and many immediately began brainstorming projects of their own. Seeing students collaborate, problem-solve, and take ownership of their creations showed just how meaningful hands-on STEM learning can be.\r\n\r\nMoving forward, we plan to continue using the ChompSaws for engineering challenges, STEM centers, and future maker projects throughout the year. Students are already discussing ideas for marble runs, animal habitats, and prototype inventions. These tools have opened the door for deeper creativity and innovation in our classroom, and we are so grateful for the opportunity to provide students with authentic, engaging learning experiences.
