The one thing that they all love is the spinning chair because of the weather it had been hard to get out to the playground, and we've been doing recess in the classroom they all want to spin on it, so it has also been a good way to teach them to take turns. We have been able to take some of our kids to school assemblies because of the noise cancelling headphones, now they can be part of whole school activities. We tend to go through many pencils for each student each day. The automatic pencil sharpener has helped us keep the pencils sharp and we are able to use them throughout the day! It is amazing how one small piece of equipment can make such a difference to our room!\r\n\r\nUsing our leader in me program we have students with certain roles within our classroom. One student is responsible to make sure the pencil supply is sharpened during breakfast/homeroom time. She makes sure that everyone has what they need to have a successful start to their day.\r\n\r\nThe color printer has allowed us to create 2 colorful bulletin boards for our Leader in Me program and for pictures that illustrate our weekly vocabulary words. We will be using the color printer to create parts of our upcoming business project that we are working on during our project based learning time. My students love to be creative in making their own art work in the classroom. I love how I have access to supplies that allow them to do lighter art work with the paint dotters or to go wild with the acrylic paints. \r\n\r\nLuckily those new aprons we got helps everything stay neat and tidy so my students can go home with clean shirts. The paint cups also help too as to minimize spilling of paints on the table. \r\n\r\nWhen my students got access to the new dotter markers one of them said \"wow\" in particular to the slightly glittery colors. My students are learning how to come up with their own stories while they play with the different toys. \r\n\r\nThey love pretending to feed and take care of the babies. We talk with them about how the baby might be hungry, thirsty or need to take a nap. \r\n\r\nThe buses, and trucks my students can pretend how to be bus drivers picking up students and sanitation workers. \r\n\r\nThe play food helps them identify common objects, colors, shapes and textures.
