The use of Big Boggle and bingo will assist students in building their vocabulary content. The use of dominoes will aid students with improving math skills to purchase 'tickets' for 'fantasy' destinations. Students will also be completing vocabulary worksheets, and learning map skills about places visited in the selected book with a tie-in to neighborhoods in their hometown. Finally, the colored pencils donated will assist in their making vocabulary connections to the book being read and their own neighborhood environment. This will be vital as students enter their new grade.
