Your generosity has brought so much excitement and joy to our K–5 readers. Every day, I see students discovering new authors, characters, and worlds through the books you helped us add to our shelves.\r\n\r\n Early chapter books and graphic novels teach students to make predictions, infer character emotions, and build reading stamina while developing strong comprehension strategies. These books also introduce story structure, sequencing, and dialogue in ways that are accessible and fun for young readers, helping them bridge the gap between picture books and more complex texts.\r\n\r\nIn our library, reading looks joyful and active. Students gather on the rug for read-alouds, pair up to discuss favorite characters, or curl up in a cozy corner to finish a graphic novel they can't put down. Book talks and \"reader's choice\" displays have become highlights of the week, with students eagerly recommending titles to one another.\r\n\r\nSome of our most reluctant readers have blossomed because of these new additions. One student who rarely checked out books now proudly finishes a graphic novel every week. Another student who used to struggle with reading aloud volunteers to share a funny scene with classmates. The visual storytelling and accessible text have truly given every child, no matter their reading level an opportunity to feel successful.\r\n\r\nThank you again for believing in the power of books and for helping our students fall in love with reading.
