The students and I were so excited to get the news that we were funded. As you know times are difficult for many families and students do not always have the necessary supplies to start the school year. This is not only embarrasing for the students but it is also hard on the parents. With your help and the personal supplies that I purchased, I was able to provide students with their own pencil boxes filled with pencils, erasers, glue sticks, scissors, markers, colored pencils, crayons, erasers, and dry erase markers. I was also able to provide snacks for students who forgot them at home or students who were unable to supply their own. \r\n\r\nIn addition to all of the items listed above, your generous donation provided classroom read a louds for the children to enjoy while having snack, notebooks to write their weekend news and story problems in, poster board and Sharpie markers for students to use when making projects, pencil sharpeners to keep their writing sharp, lollipops for rewards and test taking and laminating paper which is used to make activities durable and reusable. \r\n\r\nAs you can imagine, a lot goes into supporting students in school each year and your generosity made my job a whole lot easier.
