They came in on the first day and immediately noticed the new seats and made multiple comments about how much better they are than the old ones. Something so simple has made such a big impact to start the year. With these new seats, students will be able to move them with ease to collaborate in groups and stack them out of the way for days of bigger collaboration when we need to move about the room.\r\n\r\nI told them HOW we got the new chairs and they wanted to extend THEIR gratitude as well. Although I can't upload images of my students for privacy reasons, I want you all to know how thankful they are for your generosity.\r\n\r\nI am hoping to compliment these new seats with new, updated tables/working stations next. Whenever we do this, students thoroughly clean out their desks to prepare them for their new occupants. In addition, as we approach the end of the school year, we will be conducting a comprehensive classroom clean-up, including disinfecting desks and chairs. It is written in a format that makes it so easily accessible for my striving readers to read, while allowing them to share their understandings of the world around them.\r\n\r\nThis may be one of the most powerful projects that I have had funded.
