Having our very own dedicated washing area made our classroom feel complete, and our students instantly recognized this special space was designed just for them.\r\n\r\nThese new resources have completely transformed how we engage in our daily hands-on lessons. During a recent sensory exploration activity with colored shaving cream and water beads, our students fully immersed themselves in texture play without hesitation. When it was time to clean up, we guided them step-by-step to the new station. Using the step stool, each student took turns washing their hands and helping rinse our play tools in the wash basin. Seeing a student who previously struggled with multi-step routines proudly turn on the water, lather up, and dry their hands independently was a momentous breakthrough that brought tears to my eyes.\r\n\r\nNow that independent handwashing and tool cleanup are seamless parts of our daily routine, our students are ready for the next level.
