The materials you provided were received with joy and gratitude, and students gravitate toward them when they have an opportunity to settle down or need to regain their focus. They especially enjoy working on the puzzles quietly in small groups, and the art supplies draw students who like to sketch and doodle, which really helps them feel seen.\r\n\r\nIn addition to being regularly available to students in the classroom, these materials were especially handy on two recent occasions. One was a celebration of student success on an early dismissal day, where students were able to choose activity rooms to visit. These materials were available for student use in a quiet space. The other was during a study hall on a day when students were experiencing a bit of transition. The new device is functioning flawlessly, and it's helped me scale my workflow so that the work - while still prodigious - flows more smoothly through the vast array of digital tools that are required in today's educational landscape. \r\n\r\nSpecifically, I have now emailed parents and students approximately 1400 separate progress notifications as part of a weekly status update. Because the iPad enables me to capture a combination of submitted work, audio recordings, and video files, parents and students are tremendously well informed about their (or their students') progress in class. \r\n\r\nAdditionally, the suite of tools available on this platform have made data analysis more streamlined and straightforward. I am now in a position to examine longitudinal student performance data from the start of the year to the present, and this year's gradebook will be exportable for sharing with each student's teacher next year. \r\n\r\nThe battery life is tremendous, and I'm now more present with my students, moving in and out of their working groups regularly, evaluating, challenging.","fullyFundedDate":1755735787759,"projectUrl":"project/teacher-technology-update/9368581/","projectTitle":"Teacher Technology Update","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Bevard","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-9_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9922197"},{"teacherId":7395288,"projectId":9521642,"letterContent":"Imagine you are a student of an immigrant family who is afraid to venture out to buy school supplies for fear of the political climate. They have pencils, paper, folders, highlighters, colored pencils, and notebooks. I have brightly colored paper to help the students recognize important vocabulary words. \r\nMy students aren't embarrassed about asking for replacements from the cart--they simply get up and take what they need. \r\nYou have given them back their ability to be independent and have one less thing to worry about while trying to learn. \r\nI am very grateful.","fullyFundedDate":1758837074719,"projectUrl":"project/student-starter-pack/9521642/","projectTitle":"Student Starter Pack","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. O'Donnell","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp7395288_orig.jpg?crop=1763,1763,x144,y305&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1753980704216","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7395288"},{"teacherId":7395288,"projectId":9181138,"letterContent":"Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your donation to my Tech Savvy Teacher project. That is 260 grades a week with only 225 minutes of planning time a week---where you are also expected to lesson plan, return emails, contact parents, and meet with struggling students. collaborate with teachers, and on and on and on. I need to give meaningful feedback, and that takes time. Which means students may not get back their work until a week later, making the comments ineffective at that point.\r\nBUT...\r\nThe iPad allows me to have the students submit the work electronically, giving me time to create feedback icons and record (!) feedback. It has cut down my grading time DRAMATICALLY and given me some much much-needed breathing room. The students love it! \r\nI am now using it to track our agenda for each day. Increasingly, digital tools are the norm in classrooms, but they cut out an essential aspect of the learning process: students' active engagement with the core concepts and skills. \r\n\r\nEnabling my students to work in this medium increased participation across the board for each of my English 10 classes. Your generous support also allowed me to interact more thoroughly with each of my special needs students, whose work required additional feedback and guidance. With these tools, we were able to increase their work productivity and their iterations through assignments. \r\n\r\nMany students who before had said they disliked the work reported looking forward to the class because they enjoyed the tactile experience of taking notes on the iPad, and they reported increased confidence in studying, since they could remotely access their notes outside of class. \r\n\r\nThank you so, so much for your help with this project.","fullyFundedDate":1746444535054,"projectUrl":"project/digitizing-notes-tools/9300280/","projectTitle":"Digitizing Notes Tools","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Bevard","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-9_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9922197"},{"teacherId":4999569,"projectId":9262948,"letterContent":"I want to extend my heartfelt thanks for your generous support of our Wellness Wednesday project. It took some getting used to, but they've become better at collecting their materials and getting to work right away.
