I received all of the hygiene, food, and school supplies and have placed them in easy to access bins on my bookshelf. They came at the perfect time! We were in the midst of our testing season which means that every one of my students came out to my portable multiple times to complete the assessment. This gave me the opportunity to naturally introduce the hygiene, food, and school supply station. I allowed students to freely open up each bin they were interested in so that they could see what we have. We talked alot about how this is isn't just for \"people with little money\" (as they described it), but for any person in our school building in need of something. I gave examples of times when I needed to access free materials from my college and some students even shared times their families have gotten something for free. \r\nRight away students began asking for things to take home. I discreetly asked if they already had it at home and if they replied no, I said take it! I sent messages to all of their families letting them know that I had created the station (with the help of incredible donors) and began receiving requests for food/hygiene supplies to be sent home for their families. During the midst of immigration anxiety, it felt incredible to be able to drop off bags of supplies to those afraid to leave their homes. I have cried multiple times because of the opportunity you, as donors, have given to my students and their families. You have allowed me another form of connection with them and strengthened bonds of trust. I have seen the faces of my students light up when they take something as simple as a hairbrush home. Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you!\r\nHere are some final words from my students: \"Now I can do my hair so Mami doesn't have to!\", \"I have never had a water bottle before!\", \"My Daddy loves the food you gave.\", and \"Muchas gracias!\".","fullyFundedDate":1764710212447,"projectUrl":"project/hygiene-and-supply-station/9549670/","projectTitle":"Hygiene and Supply Station","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Cara","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp6619898_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1754574974681","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/c-dye-oleary"},{"teacherId":9094794,"projectId":9551468,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous donation to my classroom.
