As a reading specialist, I am fortunate to work with students to improve their reading skills and to build their confidence. I work with small groups in grades K-5. Our school was built in 1964 and has approximately 620 students. We have an older building, and our student population consist of over 25% FARMS, over 20% special ed, and almost 10% ESOL. We also have a Regional and Recc program. Despite the challenges we face, we are working tirelessly everyday to provide our students the very best education. Our hard work has paid off in many ways. In 2018, our school was selected as one of Maryland's Blue Ribbon Schools. Our staff prides themselves on providing meaningful, targeted, and rich instruction to our diverse student groups.
