Last year I completed my first year teaching, and I want to sincerely thank you for your generous donation to our classroom. Your support has provided my students with essential supplies—mirrors for self-portraits, pencils and erasers for sketching, and Mod Podge for collage work—all of which have played a crucial role in their artistic growth this year.\r\n\r\nOne of the most successful projects we've completed was our self-portrait unit, made possible by your donation. While it seemed like a daunting task initially, the students were able to build confidence drawing representationally to create some stunning portraits. The mirrors allowed students to closely observe their own features, helping their understanding of proportion and detail. With quality pencils and erasers, they were able to refine their sketches, make adjustments, and improve their representational drawing skills. Many students who initially struggled with confidence in drawing people saw remarkable progress, and their final portraits reflected both skill development and personal expression. I was blown away by what they were able to accomplish! \r\n\r\nIt's been awesome to hang their portraits in the hall and see students excited to bring friends over to show off what they created. Some had never created a portrait before and surprised themselves with the accuracy of the results! Two students submitted their portraits as parts of their final portfolios for college applications, helping them earn scholarships. I'm super proud of what they were able to accomplish.\r\n\r\nYour generosity has directly impacted my students' learning experience, giving them the tools to succeed and the confidence to explore their creativity. Your support has made a tangible difference in providing my students with the tools they need to explore their creativity and develop their artistic skills.\r\n\r\nThanks to your contributions, we have been able to stock essential supplies such as paper, sketchbooks, paintbrushes, and Clorox wipes. The paper and sketchbooks have given students a space to practice, experiment, and grow as artists, while the paintbrushes have allowed them to bring their ideas to life with confidence. The cleaning supplies have been invaluable in maintaining a clean and welcoming space where students can fully engage in the creative process without distraction.\r\n\r\nYour generosity has not only helped supply our classroom but has also fostered an environment where students feel supported and encouraged. Many of my students have expressed how much they appreciate having access to quality materials, and it has been awesome to see their excitement as they create without limitations.\r\n\r\nAs I navigated my first year of teaching, your support has given me the reassurance that my students have what they need to succeed and boosted my confidence in my impact on the students.
