My fellow PK teachers were thrilled to have additional shared books that allow us to better align instruction and create more consistent literacy experiences across classrooms.\r\n\r\nOne of the biggest highlights was using the \"Little Old Lady\" book collection during a special buddy reading activity. Because the books are repetitive and strongly supported by pictures, all students were able to successfully participate and \"read\" the text with confidence. We use it during carpet time to support students who need extra help staying focused and engaged during lessons. We have also incorporated the seats into our camping dramatic play center, where they serve as stools around our pretend campfire. Your support is doing far more than placing books into children's hands — it is opening doors to imagination, confidence, learning, and lifelong opportunity.\r\n\r\nThanks to you, students now have access to stories that spark curiosity, encourage creativity, and help them see the world in new ways. For many children, these books become more than classroom tools; they become companions, adventures, and windows into possibilities they may never have imagined before.\r\n\r\nReading is one of the most important foundations for a child's success. Strong reading skills help students grow academically in every subject, from science and history to math and writing. But the impact goes even deeper. Reading strengthens critical thinking, builds empathy, expands vocabulary, and teaches students how to communicate their thoughts and ideas with confidence.\r\n\r\nWhen children read regularly, they develop concentration, imagination, and problem-solving skills that will benefit them for the rest of their lives. Books also help students understand different perspectives, cultures, and experiences, helping them grow into compassionate and informed individuals.\r\nMost importantly, your support is helping students build confidence in themselves. Every completed book represents a new accomplishment. Every page turned is another step toward becoming a stronger learner and a more empowered young person.\r\n\r\nBecause of donors like you, students are reading more books, exploring new ideas, and developing a love of learning that can shape their futures for years to come. In computer science classes, students used the tablets to actively engage in coding activities, test their programs, and explore digital design projects in real time. Having additional devices reduced wait time and increased participation, allowing more students to practice problem-solving and apply the coding concepts we learned in class. Students who previously observed from the sidelines were able to fully participate, which increased both their confidence and engagement.\r\n\r\nIn the library, the tablets expanded access to digital reading materials, research tools, and educational applications. Students used them to access eBooks and audiobooks, conduct research for projects, and collaborate on digital presentations. The devices supported small group instruction and allowed students to create multimedia responses to books they read. As a result, students demonstrated stronger digital literacy skills and greater independence during research and reading activities.\r\n\r\nOverall, the two donated tablets strengthened both innovation and literacy within our school.
