Your kind and generous donation has made this possible for me to pull off. I know that the ukulele can bring joy and happiness to this group of students---as it has for me for many years now--- and, no doubt, they will share their joy with others. Everybody ought to play the ukulele. \r\n With twenty ukuleles we are ready to rock and roll. You should know that my intention is to have students learn chords and songs and the playing skills to make music and perform quickly and easily. Afterall, the ukulele is the simplest, most delightful stringed instrument on earth, and I have taught it to adults and children for many years now. As you can see in the photos I even have a giant ukulele mural installation---painted 20 years ago by a student---hanging on the wall in my office. Thank you, again. You are the best.\r\n Donors Choose is amazing.\r\nSincerely,\r\n-Mr. Ron","fullyFundedDate":1755712022679,"projectUrl":"project/everybody-ought-to-play-the-ukulele/9581548/","projectTitle":"Everybody Ought to Play the Ukulele","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Ron","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp58892_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1506724352567","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/58892"},{"teacherId":547354,"projectId":9266343,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous contribution to our Talented Theatre classroom! We've already started using the new safety and hygiene supplies to create a more professional, organized, and health-conscious environment for our students. During our first week of rehearsals, we launched a backstage safety training session using the \"Watch Your Step\" sign, gloves, first aid kit, and eyewash station. One student even led a demonstration on how to respond to minor on-set injuries using the new first aid materials—an empowering moment that gave them ownership of the space and responsibility for their peers.\r\n\r\nWhen our students first saw the boxes filled with CaviWipes, makeup wipes, Degree deodorant, and the other supplies, they were honestly amazed. Several students laughed in relief and said, \"Now we're officially a real theatre!\"—not just because of the quality of the supplies, but because it showed that someone out there cared about the behind-the-scenes work they do. They appreciated that these are often overlooked but essential items that help them feel safe, clean, and confident throughout long rehearsals and performances.\r\n\r\nAs we begin the school year, our next steps include preparing for our next production, where students will rotate through crew roles—props, costumes, lighting, and of course, sound and safety. The donated materials will support every aspect of this work, helping students focus on creativity and teamwork without worrying about personal hygiene or safety gaps. Thanks to your support, we've been able to set a strong, professional tone from day one, and we're so excited for what's to come!","fullyFundedDate":1754394580305,"projectUrl":"project/classroom-essentials/9266343/","projectTitle":"Classroom Essentials","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Lanson","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp547354_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1449238658839","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/lanson"},{"teacherId":547354,"projectId":9066658,"letterContent":"Many of our generous donors are familiar with technology in their homes, but using that same technology in a theatre setting can be a completely different experience. The new Crown XTi 2 1002 amplifier has given our technical theatre students the opportunity to learn hands-on about professional sound systems, including signal flow, output balancing, and real-time adjustments during live performances. With this equipment, students are not just pushing buttons—they're learning the foundational skills of sound engineering that are essential in both theatre and many career paths beyond it.\r\nWhat excites our students most about the Crown amplifier is its clarity, control, and reliability. They love being able to hear the difference it makes in a production—whether it's crisp dialogue in a dramatic scene or balanced backing tracks during a musical number. The built-in digital signal processing allows them to shape the sound to fit the space, giving them a professional-level tool they can grow into. For students who are passionate about technology and want to pursue careers in live production, this kind of hands-on experience is invaluable.\r\n\r\nFor many of our technical theatre students, the spotlight isn't the goal—instead, they thrive behind the scenes. Sound design allows them to be just as creative and essential to the storytelling process as the performers on stage. It also builds collaboration, as they work closely with directors, stage managers, and performers to ensure each cue is perfectly timed and every scene sounds exactly right. The new amplifier made it possible to run our sound system efficiently and professionally, giving these students a real-world environment to learn, problem-solve, and take pride in their contribution to the show's success. Big thank you to helping us reach a huge goal with the purchase of this amp.","fullyFundedDate":1740696913687,"projectUrl":"project/clear-audio-and-vocals/9066658/","projectTitle":"Clear Audio and Vocals","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Lanson","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp547354_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1449238658839","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/lanson"},{"teacherId":547354,"projectId":9192372,"letterContent":"Students quickly ripped opened the boxes of stage paint to complete our set design for the Spring production of The Foreigner. The plan has been to use the devices as I move around campus and meet with students in their classrooms. With 65% of our population speaking Spanish, it is not feasible to call our language translation line or type into Google Translate. Students are prohibited from using their cellular devices on campus with a new state law passed in prior to the start of the academic year. \r\n With the new legislation comes new changes. I have been able to utilize the tablet with our parents and guardian during meetings that occur away from my office computer. \r\n\r\nThe AI voice translator has been slow getting started with using it. We had a major technology push this past summer which hindered access to the Internet for non-district assigned devices. This is now the one that I wear around my next to communicate with our students as I am moving throughout our 36-acre campus. These devices have been a godsend to me and our students. Even though I don't have one for each faculty & staff with 2,400+ students, what I do have has definitely benefited many of our students and parents. These devices have helped to foster & encourage stronger relationships.\r\n\r\nI like to be clear about how I am using the project. I want the donors to be able to visualize how their generosity has made an impact in our school community.
