Allowing appropriate movement has reduced off-task behaviors and disruptions, creating a calmer learning environment. Making fifth graders happy in what might seem like a small way actually brightens the entire mood of the room and creates a more positive atmosphere. A happy class is more motivated to learn.\r\nWe just finished working on a play that my class performed right before the holidays. My students were scattered all over the room in flexible seating, helping each other revise their scripts and practice their lines. The seating was perfect for this project.
