If a student needs a pencil, one will be given to the student. Also, many students come to class and request a cup to get water from the water fountain. Within 2 hours, our Care Closet had provided a new pair of shoes. The student was thrilled to also get several pairs of clean socks. After meeting with our family liaison, the student returned to class, smiling and ready to learn. These are the moments that remind us why this work matters so much.\r\n\r\nOur Richmond High School Applied Skills students have taken great pride in organizing and delivering items to all 11 schools and Richmond Head Start. Watching them carefully sort clothing, package hygiene items, and serve their peers with compassion has been incredibly rewarding. They are gaining real-world skills while making a real difference. \r\n\r\nOur RCS family liaisons are working closely with the Applied Skills team to ensure every donation reaches the students who need it most.
