Getting students to read is no easy task. Getting them engaged with a book is even harder. When I found this book, it was an instant favorite and they were hooked! I was able to read the first chapter to them at the beginning of the year and they fell in love with the story, because the main character was so relatable to them and they saw some of themselves in this character. Suddenly, I found it difficult to get them to put the book down to work on other tasks. It was an amazing sight to see and the absolute best \"problem\" a teacher could ask for!\r\n\r\nMy students were so excited when they saw that they each had access to a copy of the book for the entire study and they were happy to have a designated spaced in the binders to keep their work organized! They happily chat about this book and they are truly grateful for the gifts you have given them. We are almost finished with the book study and, when I asked what they would be interested in reading next, they asked if they could continue the series!
