This project is to provide my students with more non-fiction books (and a few historical fiction) to read throughout the year. With these books the students will be able to transfer skills learned to their reading. I have added biographies, informational texts, and some historical fictions books to help students apply the reading skills that we teach into the reading they do on their own. Allowing the students to use these books will help them transfer reading skills learned to what they are reading independently. This will help them grow as readers.
