We use the rug each day several times a day for whole group instruction. \r\nWe also use it at centers (math and Language arts interventions). I have 24 students and the rug has 24 places to sit! Perfect!!! 18 of my 24 students are English as a second language so using the items you donated towards has made the learning environment warm and welcoming. \r\nThe seats have allowed for group work and also for work as a team. I have one SPED boy who chooses the floor seat as his favorite seat to sit in instead of his regular chair. He loves it so much. The softness gives him comfort! The boxes are pilling up in my classroom. The students feel like it is Christmas , and keep asking when we are going to open the boxes. This has changed two times during our busy school day. First, it has changed morning work for my students. Instead of doing a math worksheet , students are using the stations of stem activities to warm up their brain and get ready for the day. The second time is Math Interventions. This is a time I remediate or enrich students' math skills for 30 minutes. The only activity to use for the students who were not at the teacher table were IPads. I am so happy to have my stem stations to include also during this daily intervention time.
