Welcome to my Donors Choose site! I am the lead ESL teacher at an inner city elementary school in Indianapolis where our immigrant and refugee student populations have been dramatically increasing throughout this past year. We currently serve over 200 English language learners from approximately 30 countries and 20 different language backgrounds. We are so excited that our ESL program and school are growing and diversifying at such a rapid pace! The ESL team works closely with teachers, staff, families, and community partners to collaboratively and comprehensively support the linguistic, academic, and social development of our English language learners. Our school ranks within the highest poverty bracket and our resources are extremely limited. In order to maximize our capacity to serve ESL students and families, we ask that you help us in acquiring resources needed for our classroom and multicultural family events!
