We have been learning to read independent rhythms and creating our own rhythms and songs and using our new instruments - the castanets, guiros, blue rhythm sticks, and maracas have brought excited squeals from my students who get to experiment with them! One class of 1st graders last week got to create their own rhythms with popsicle sticks on the floor with a partner then they got to try it on various instruments to pick their favorite then they performed for the whole class! It was SO fun to see the music come to life for them and them to create their very own songs and their choice of instruments!\r\nThe stretchy band has been SO fun for my students from preschool all the way to even 5th graders! Teaching them about big sounds, little sounds, listening to the music, moving correctly to the tempo, having them collaborate with the rest of the class as you pass it to the left, right, up and down. I have been so impressed with it and we have had lots of laughs and good times with it! \r\nI can't wait to learn how to keep incorporating these items into my classroom with more hands-on lessons to engage these very-techy generations! I love seeing their eyes light up or the lightbulb to click in their minds when they create something with their hands! I know it's a love that they will carry on with them for years to come!","fullyFundedDate":1774547284129,"projectUrl":"project/move-sing-play-hands-on-music-for-you/10088527/","projectTitle":"Move, Sing, Play! This tool has already made a meaningful impact on our 4th grade classroom, and we are incredibly grateful.\r\n\r\nWith the label maker, our classroom is more organized and student-friendly than ever. Supplies, folders, bins, and materials are clearly labeled, which helps students independently find and return what they need. This has saved valuable instructional time and helped students feel more confident navigating their learning space.\r\n\r\nThe label maker has also allowed me to better accommodate students during note-taking and lessons. I am able to create clear, consistent labels for notebooks, reference materials, and visual supports, which helps students who need extra structure or organization to stay focused and successful. Having labeled resources has made our notes more accessible and has supported students with different learning needs.\r\n\r\nYour generosity has created a calmer, more efficient classroom environment where students can focus on learning and feel supported every day.
