During a recent training about students with learning and attention differences, we discussed \"floating attention,\" which made me think of the lamp—it's been a calming and mesmerizing addition that everyone loves.\r\n\r\nOn a more serious note, many of my students come from immigrant families, and the presence of ICE in Chicago has deeply affected our school community. Some students have shared heartbreaking stories about loved ones being detained. As a teacher, I am committed to standing by my students—to fight for them, support them, and make our classroom a safe and welcoming place for all.\r\n\r\nYour generosity doesn't just provide materials—it builds a community of care and encouragement that my students feel every single day.
