Students can now sit comfortably, keep their materials within reach, and focus on their work without struggling with oversized furniture.\r\n\r\nWe use our new tables throughout the entire school day for reading and math centers, writing, small-group instruction, partner work, and hands-on activities. The tables make it easier for students to work together, share materials, and transition between activities. I have also been able to create a classroom environment that encourages collaboration, independence, and active participation.\r\n\r\nAs we continue through the school year, students will use these tables for literacy centers, math manipulatives, writing projects, collaborative learning, and small-group instruction. My students especially love using the LCD writing tablets to practice sight words, phonics, spelling, and sentence writing. The whisper phones are another classroom favorite! Students love hearing themselves read as they practice sounding out words and building fluency. The word-building materials have also made our literacy centers more interactive and have given students additional opportunities to practice important foundational reading skills independently.\r\n\r\nThese materials have allowed me to provide more meaningful literacy practice while meeting the different needs of my students. I am able to incorporate hands-on learning into centers, provide repeated practice, and help students build confidence as readers and writers. The sensory materials also help students regulate big feelings, calm their bodies, and return to learning, while the treasure chest and slime rewards help reinforce positive behavior, effort, and academic growth.
