Now, students are able to use annotation every day as a way to improve their reading fluency and comprehension, and I am already seeing vast improvements in their understanding and their ownership of their learning. \r\n\r\nTo this day, I still have my annotated copies of the books I read in high school, and later in college, and I remember the joy of getting to call the book my own. Using the multi-loop straps, athletes executed hamstring stretches, safely extending their range of motion without straining their lower backs. Athletes could visually track their progress—reaching deeper loop positions on the straps and adding distance to their medicine ball throws. The team felt the direct connection between muscle length and explosive power.\r\n\r\nThey used the medicine balls to engage in conditioning such as med ball throws to channel their mobility into explosive movements. Our sprint coach got right to work setting up the speed gate and the sprinters were excited to use it and race each other during workouts to help prepare them for the remaining races of the season. The new measuring roller was also helpful to measure out the meters for the speed gate as well as hurdle practices and other workout distances.\r\nOur throwers were excited to finally receive new shot puts and it made them even more excited that they were colorful!\r\nThe recovery equipment such as the psoas balls, muscle rollers and stretching bands all came in handy for all athletes. However, seeing their faces when the new filament arrived was a moment of pure empowerment. It wasn't just plastic to them; it was the raw material for their imagination. For the first time, they aren't just looking at CAD designs on a monitor—they are holding their own engineering solutions in their hands.\r\n\r\nOne particular moment stood out recently: One of our lead builders spent three weeks trying to design a custom bracket for our robot's intake system. In the past, we would have had to compromise using scrap metal or wood. This week, he printed his design, found a flaw in the tolerances, went back to the computer, iterated, and printed a second version that fit perfectly.
