We incorporate it into our lessons on shapes, letters, and numbers, adding a fantastic multi-sensory approach to learning for our students.\r\n\r\nWe have used the laminator extensively to create durable, reusable learning tools. This includes laminating countless visuals for daily schedules and routines, as well as academic materials like syllable cards used to build words.\r\n\r\nThe pencil pouches have been essential for organization, allowing students to keep their materials tidy and secure inside their binders. The headphones provide individual audio privacy, which is fantastic for students working on individualized academic programs on the iPads, such as EPIC, LEXIA, IXL, and ARC.\r\n\r\nFinally, our Calm Corner has become a simple yet inviting and safe space. The fidgets provide a valuable resource for students to aid in self-regulation during times of frustration or reflection. It truly serves as a quiet, safe place for our students to regulate their emotions and think through difficult moments in the classroom.\r\n\r\nThe standing desk has proven to be a flexible workspace that not only helps save space but is much easier on the teacher's back when spending long periods writing detailed documents like IEPs!\r\n\r\nWe are so incredibly grateful for your kindness and can't thank you enough for supporting us with all these wonderful things.","fullyFundedDate":1755749214894,"projectUrl":"project/calm-and-complete/9526517/","projectTitle":"Calm and Complete","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Chavez","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8634874_orig.jpg?crop=720,720,x384,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1660923262578","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8634874"},{"teacherId":1683169,"projectId":9046491,"letterContent":"Thank you for helping bring this project to life for our middle school students. Students also use it to design their own classroom handouts, yearbook pages, and visual materials that support peers and showcase learning.\r\n\r\nThey are most excited about the speed and creative options it provides, especially when using design and editing software. It allows them to work like real creators rather than only completing traditional assignments. These materials are designed with special education needs in mind, and they're helping us provide lessons that are accessible, engaging, and individualized. Instead of one-size-fits-all worksheets or activities, we can now give students resources that meet them right where they are.\r\n\r\nThe most exciting part for students is how interactive and hands-on these materials are. They love using visuals, games, and structured activities that make learning feel fun and achievable. We've seen their confidence grow as they realize they can tackle tasks that once felt overwhelming.\r\n\r\nSome students, in particular, have really connected with these resources. One child who often hesitated to participate now eagerly joins in because the activities feel clear and manageable. Another student has made noticeable progress in reading fluency by using the adapted materials we now have access to and they can fully learn about the environment at an accessible level.\r\n\r\nYour support has given our class tools that truly make learning possible for every student. Many of them require lessons that are highly visual, interactive, and carefully scaffolded, and this program provides just that. The technology is helping my students access content at their own pace, with built-in supports like guided practice, engaging graphics, and clear step-by-step instructions. For students who often feel left behind, having materials designed for their unique learning needs allows them to build confidence and independence.\r\n\r\nWhat excites my students most is how the program feels approachable and fun. Instead of being frustrated by material that's too difficult, they now get to celebrate small successes and see their progress in real time. I often hear students ask if they can \"do one more activity\" before we wrap up—it's rare and wonderful to see them eager for extra practice.\r\n\r\nA few students in particular have really warmed to this new curriculum. One of my reluctant readers, who usually avoids picking up a book, now lights up when it's his turn on the program. Another student who struggles with attention is able to stay focused longer because the lessons are interactive and broken into manageable chunks. For these children, the new curriculum has opened doors to learning in ways that feel accessible and rewarding.","fullyFundedDate":1747139384292,"projectUrl":"project/empowering-every-learner/9342142/","projectTitle":"Empowering Every Learner","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Molly","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9223824_orig.png?crop=1138,1138,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1708703524301","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9223824"},{"teacherId":9710352,"projectId":9075010,"letterContent":"Thanks to your generous donation, our first grade class had a meaningful and exciting learning experience! Each child looked forward to their turn and treated the plushie like a true friend.\r\n\r\nAfter their time with the plushie, students wrote about their adventures in Spanish. Thank you again from all of us! The supplies you sent have been put to good use. The laminator has ben used to provide students with visual support in many settings. We have been able to laminate anchor charts that students have access to as needed, they love them! The headphones hav provided students with space saving ear pieces that function well with our iPads and chrome books. The earphones are small enough to easily carry from one place to another and we have enough to last us for the next two years! The noise cancelling headphones have been a favorite tool of many students. They are able to use the headphones and easily focus on their school work when feeling over stimulated. They are being used in a very responsible and mindful way. The beanbag stuffing has given our sitting area life again. Instead we got basic Lego sets and a Brother embroidery machine and the kids are so excited. We are transforming our lab into a makerspace and this is the perfect addition. We have a belt system where kids earn belts (i.e. yellow or black belt) to show their accomplishments. We already had a Brother machine but it is the Disney version and sometimes the design process takes a back seat to consumerism. This is definitely not the case with our new machine. This allows our kids to see their own digital design, and not Mr. Disney's or Mr. Iwerks'. And I have to be honest, I was unsure what percentage of our kids would be interested in embroidery but it has proven to be as popular as 3D printing. And that's saying something. I hope to add more devices that let kids see their designs come to fruition.\r\n\r\nHere is a sampling of the responses from our kids:\r\n\r\n\"Thank you for our new Brother machine! Through its use, students gain early exposure to key computer science concepts, such as problem-solving, logical thinking, programming basics, and user interaction.
