My students are the tiniest learners in the building and this particular year my students are in need of a lot of modeling and guidance. My students are constantly wanting their teacher to be with them helping them model the sounds. Unfortunately there is more students than teacher which makes it difficult to keep them motivated to practice. \r\n\r\nBy having these resources, I can use them to help model how students should be making the sounds. I can have a small group of students practice with a guide and they can see themselves in the mirror and know if they are doing it correctly. When I opened the box at first students were just questioning what was inside and when I pulled out the boxes they began to clap. I then opened the little boxes and showed them what was inside and how they were going to start using them and they began to cheer! \r\n\r\nI am so grateful for you and your generosity! My students were able to start off the school year strong with new binders, new dividers, a place where they can place their work so that we can keep it nice organize. Students were very excited to know that we had new material that they will be able to use for their student-led conference binders. When I opened the boxes and showed them what they were going to use they wanted to open the binders. \r\n\r\n We began first by having students decorate their name tags which would be the front part to help identify their binders. Students also began to place some of their work inside of their binders. Students also worked on their wild important goals to include in their binder so that students can show their parents on the day of student led conference. One student even got excited and showed her mom on a day she came to pick her up that mom had to see what her binder look like. Students are very proud to take ownership for their learning that they are looking forward to our student-led conferences.
