Middle school science is the best age group to hook students. So when I prepare to my units to teach about the human body, what better way to learn then to dissect an animal. The preserved frogs and dissection trays will bring students closer to what being a Veterinarian or a Doctor feels like. Students will not only use these frogs to learn the anatomy, but they will also explore them to look at the frogs at a more microscopic level. Students will be able to learn and explore the different types of cells in a body which makes the science more applicable.
