Flexible seating options like cube chairs allow young learners to choose positions that best support their bodies, helping them stay comfortable, focused, and ready to learn.\r\n\r\nFor many preschool students, sitting for extended periods can be challenging. Cube chairs provide a developmentally appropriate seating option that supports proper posture while also allowing for movement and choice. This helps students remain engaged during small group instruction, center time, and independent work.\r\n\r\nThese chairs will also promote independence and responsibility. Students will be able to move and use the chairs on their own, helping them take ownership of their learning environment. Additionally, cube chairs can be used in multiple ways—as a seat, a table surface, or a step—making them versatile tools that support a variety of classroom activities.\r\n\r\nBeyond academic benefits, these chairs support social-emotional growth. When students feel comfortable and successful in their environment, they are more confident, more willing to participate, and better able to regulate their behavior.\r\n\r\nBy supporting this project, you are helping create a flexible, student-centered classroom where all learners can thrive. These cube chairs will provide comfort, support, and opportunity—allowing my students to fully engage in their learning each day.","fullyFundedDate":1598929112231,"projectUrl":"project/take-a-load-off/4889740/","projectTitle":"Take a Load Off!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Crandell","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp3742163_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1628208501903","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/3742163"},{"teacherId":3742163,"projectId":4868181,"letterContent":"The materials in this project will have a meaningful and lasting impact on my students' physical, social, and emotional development. At the preschool level, movement is essential for learning. Providing students with engaging physical education tools will give them opportunities to build strength, coordination, balance, and overall body awareness in a fun and supportive environment.\r\n\r\nThese tools will also promote important social-emotional skills. As students participate in structured and unstructured movement activities, they will practice turn-taking, cooperation, and teamwork. They will learn how to follow directions, manage their energy, and build confidence in their abilities. For many of my students, these experiences are key to developing self-regulation and a positive sense of self.\r\n\r\nIn addition, incorporating high-quality physical education materials into our daily routine helps students stay active and focused, which supports learning across all areas of the classroom. Movement breaks and structured activities allow students to release energy, improving attention and engagement during academic tasks.\r\n\r\nBy supporting this project, you are helping create a classroom environment that values whole-child development. These tools will not only encourage healthy habits at an early age but also foster confidence, independence, and a lifelong love of movement and play.","fullyFundedDate":1588698075490,"projectUrl":"project/strong-to-the-core/4868181/","projectTitle":"Strong to the Core","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Crandell","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp3742163_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1628208501903","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/3742163"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_25125","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":269,"numTeachers":22,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":1,"percentBlack":9,"percentWhite":67,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":5,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 8","studentTeacherRatio":"12.2:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":63.6,"schoolId":25125,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Bartonville Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Bartonville Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/illinois/bartonville-school-district-66/bartonville-elementary-school/25125"}
