In my classroom, the students are in attendance from 7:45 am to 2:30 pm and we like to offer the students a snack while they are here. It is a long day for our young students and we want to make sure that the students are able to concentrate on their work. A refrigerator will help us keep our drinks and snacks cold. Many of our students are on medications that affect their eating. By having a refrigerator in the classroom, we have the ability to offer healthier options for snack. A few of my students really like yogurt. Also, by having a refrigerator in the classroom, we will be able to ensure that our students are getting cool drinks to take their medication and to supplement their lunch when necessary. A refrigerator will allow parents to send an additional snack that could be kept cool if needed.
