Aside from reading about the battles of Hawaiʻi, my haumāna were able to visit a few sites here on Maui. Both helped them come up with the creative visions for their projects.\r\n\r\nUnfortunately, I was not able to get pictures of their projects, but they did marvelously. The one thing that they all learned while doing this project was that they were able to complete it better as a team than as a singular person. They also learned what each of their strengths and weaknesses were, and how to use them.\r\n\r\nOne of the biggest things a lot of their parents said, was that they saw a growth in their child's global awareness and accountability. I also got to hear parents talk about how amazed they were that their child has shown such a keen interest in hawaii's history and that they were glad to have someone like me teach them.
