Due to COVID restrictions, our students experienced a chaotic and confusing school year. These materials will help me convey a sense of normalcy and revitalize their curiosity for science. The materials picked out will help jumpstart units throughout the entire year. The posters will serve as educational diagrams in my classroom. The books in my cart will cover relevant aspects of physical, earth, life science, and experiments as well as provide lesson planning materials. The measurement wheel, rulers, and magnets will be very useful for units that cover experimenting and gathering data. The steam engine will serve as a model for demonstrating energy conversion and mechanical engineering. Lastly, the teacherspayteacher gift cards will go towards supplementing physical lessons and projects to a class that largely uses google classroom. Resources I've requested will help students to have up to date books. They will have tools to gather data in group or solo projects as well.
