Students who often feel overlooked were stunned by the gift, and their gratitude was overwhelming. It was powerful to see how something as simple as ownership of a book could spark such pride and excitement in their learning.\r\n\r\nEven more inspiring was the impact it had on their reading habits. Several students who previously showed little to no interest in reading were completely drawn into the story, eagerly turning pages and discussing the plot with their peers. They didn't just read, they devoured the book. Having access to a high interest novel that belonged to them personally transformed reluctant readers into engaged, motivated learners.
