My students will be able to meet with each other in reading groups at my back table with the books that I am requesting. They will each have access to the book library. In the end, students will be able to choose a book project to summarize what they read in their book group. I also want to encourage reading in the classroom in various ways. Reading is important and we make room for it every day (independent reading, small group reading, partner reading, and whole group reading). My students would benefit from seeing other book genre titles that we may not have access to in the class currently, which would help foster a deeper love of reading. This could happen with the help of adding these book sets to my classroom. Adding these book sets to my classroom would help encourage my students to make use of these materials and public and school library too.
