My students have been able to make gains in creating and writing sentences due to the donation of whiteboards with primary lines. The students have utilized the dry-erase markers to write those sentences with.\r\n\r\nAnother group of students has been able to benefit from the use of the Velcro that was donated. I have been able to create \"first-then\" board for the students to keep focused and working towards a goal.\r\n\r\nOther students have absolutely fallen in love with the word games that were donated to the classroom. I love how they ask to play Splash when they have completed their daily work. After reading Maybe Something Beautiful by F. Isabel Campoy and Theresa Howell, our kindergartners were inspired to think about how art can brighten and transform a community. Using the paint sticks, they designed their own murals, imagining what they would choose to display in our neighborhood to spread joy and color.
