One student even asked, \"Wait, someone we don't even know bought this for us?\" It was a powerful lesson in community and kindness before we even began the physical activities.\r\nWe have already integrated the soccer equipment and timing equipment into our daily routine. Just last week, we used them during a circuit training session where students tracked their progress and cheered each other on. While I have been teaching my math lessons just fine, having these extra supplies makes it a lot easier. One of those things would be the Apple TV. Before the Apple TV, I would have to have my computer plugged in to show slides on the smart board. However, now with the Apple TV, I am able to show the slides wirelessly. This make it easier to be able to have that mobility with my laptop as well making it easier to present lessons. While there Apple TV was something that helped that I didn't have, some of the other supplies were also needed because I simply needed more.\r\n\r\nA lot of the other supplies I did not have enough of. For example, I did have some calculator, but not enough for every student in my classes. It would help if students brought their own calculators, but I would almost always need to either have students share, or have them use a calculator on their laptop. Now, there are enough calculators for each student. The same thing goes for the pencils, post its, dry erase board markers, and dry erase board erasers. The markers and erasers were especially necessary because I do a lot of Building Thinking Classroom activities with my class, where students do work standing at a whiteboard. Additionally, the pencils are always needed for students to do their work, and having more post its helps write notes for students and also helps provide a bookmark so they know which page in their workbook to complete. Overall, this project getting funded truly has helped. Thank you so much.","fullyFundedDate":1759507275871,"projectUrl":"project/engaging-math-class/9777846/","projectTitle":"Engaging Math Class","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Steele","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-8_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9134975"},{"teacherId":10295434,"projectId":9780462,"letterContent":"Thank you for your generous support of my \"Building Thinking Classroom\" project. The Apple TV has enhanced instruction by allowing the teacher to mirror their screen during lessons, making explanations clearer and more accessible for all students. Visuals, examples, and step-by-step modeling can be shared instantly, helping students better understand new concepts and stay focused. This technology supports different learning styles and encourages whole-class discussions, as students can easily follow along and connect ideas to what they see on the screen.\r\n\r\nThe other items have helped transform the classroom into a more welcoming and engaging learning environment. The floor cushions provide comfortable, flexible seating options that help students feel relaxed and focused, especially those who struggle in traditional desks. The brain games and strategy puzzles are especially exciting for students, as they promote critical thinking, problem-solving, and collaboration in a fun, hands-on way. Students are especially excited to see content projected clearly and seamlessly, which helps them stay focused and engaged during lessons. The color printer ink has also been invaluable, allowing me to print materials in color that support comprehension, highlight key information, and make learning more inviting. During our fun Fridays, students have been able to play football, basketball, and volleyball with other students in seventh grade. The new product that has been the most exciting for students is the football. Although it is a simple and cheap product, students do not have the opportunity to play football during recess or lunch so when they do during fun Friday, it is a blast to watch them play. \r\nFor our quarterly door decoration students have been able to use the paintcups, colored pencils, and paintbrushes. Particularly, there are three students who have warmed to up the art materials and have been able to show their great artistic abilities. The Galaxy Tab is transforming my instruction by allowing for seamless digital organization and interactive lesson delivery. I can now access and annotate all digital textbooks and curriculum materials instantly, eliminating the need for bulky printouts.\r\n\r\nThe feature I find most exciting is the S Pen integration. This allows me to hand-write and draw directly onto my presentations and instructional materials in real-time. This dynamic capability keeps the students engaged and allows me to model problem-solving exactly as I would on a whiteboard, but with the added benefit of saving and sharing the annotated lessons immediately.\r\n\r\nThe tablet has significantly improved my ability to provide differentiated instruction and accommodations. I can quickly pull up resources, adjust assignments for individual students, and utilize accessibility features (like text-to-speech) to prepare materials that promote independence and full participation for all learners.\r\n\r\nYour support has provided a powerful catalyst for modern education in my classroom.
