The glue, notebooks, and scissors have helped students to be more active and successful in class. We immediately put the materials to use in our daily notes. Students used the scissors to cut out interactive notes and the glue sticks to secure foldables and graphic organizers into their individual notebooks. The students' initial reaction to the supplies was relief; they were thrilled to have more glue sticks and scissors to use for their notes without waiting to share.\r\n\r\nMy next steps will be to examine how students use the materials during class to see if there are any materials I need to add to my classroom set, or how I can improve my guided notes and foldables to give students a better chance to succeed in class.","fullyFundedDate":1758210293001,"projectUrl":"project/build-strong-habits-notebooks-for-every/9695936/","projectTitle":"Build Strong Habits: Notebooks for Everyone","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. H","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-9_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9597836"},{"teacherId":9597836,"projectId":9701762,"letterContent":"The supplies we were able to receive from Donors Choose have helped to improve my classroom and have positively impacted my students during homeroom and class periods. During our fun Fridays, students have been able to play football, basketball, and volleyball with other students in seventh grade. The new product that has been the most exciting for students is the football. Although it is a simple and cheap product, students do not have the opportunity to play football during recess or lunch so when they do during fun Friday, it is a blast to watch them play. \r\nFor our quarterly door decoration students have been able to use the paintcups, colored pencils, and paintbrushes. Particularly, there are three students who have warmed to up the art materials and have been able to show their great artistic abilities. For other materials such as the board games and perler beads, they have made indoor recess and extended homeroom more lively for students to do other things besides just quiet reading and work for other classes.","fullyFundedDate":1757906678991,"projectUrl":"project/sel-to-the-max/9701762/","projectTitle":"SEL to the Max","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. H","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-9_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9597836"},{"teacherId":9342645,"projectId":9774152,"letterContent":"On behalf of myself and my classroom, thank you for your generous contribution that provided me with a new Galaxy Tab! This technology is already making a profound difference in my ability to teach and manage my classroom.\r\n\r\nWe know many of our donors use technology at home but may not know its impact on teaching. The Galaxy Tab is transforming my instruction by allowing for seamless digital organization and interactive lesson delivery. I can now access and annotate all digital textbooks and curriculum materials instantly, eliminating the need for bulky printouts.\r\n\r\nThe feature I find most exciting is the S Pen integration. This allows me to hand-write and draw directly onto my presentations and instructional materials in real-time. This dynamic capability keeps the students engaged and allows me to model problem-solving exactly as I would on a whiteboard, but with the added benefit of saving and sharing the annotated lessons immediately.\r\n\r\nThe tablet has significantly improved my ability to provide differentiated instruction and accommodations. I can quickly pull up resources, adjust assignments for individual students, and utilize accessibility features (like text-to-speech) to prepare materials that promote independence and full participation for all learners.\r\n\r\nYour support has provided a powerful catalyst for modern education in my classroom. After the challenges of COVID-19, our students are learning how to interact with peers, self-regulate, and listen to their bodies again. Your contribution has given them the freedom to choose seating that best fits their individual needs—whether that's standing, sitting independently, or having a quiet space to focus. These options are helping our middle-grade students manage the physiological changes they're experiencing and improve their focus and comfort throughout the day.\r\n\r\nThe addition of fidget toys has also been a wonderful tool for many students, helping them concentrate and complete their tasks more effectively. We've already seen positive impacts as students take advantage of these new opportunities to learn and work in ways that best suit them. Due to our current struggling economy, many families don't have access to new books at home, but thanks to you, they are discovering the joy of reading through fresh, relevant stories.\r\n\r\nAlready, we've seen so many students eagerly checking out books, exploring new worlds, and deepening their love for reading. With each page they turn, they're building essential skills—critical thinking, comprehension, vocabulary, and even empathy. These stories open doors to new perspectives and help them build empathy and a better understanding of the world around them promoting inclusivity and acceptance.\r\n\r\nThis year has brought many changes, including updating the library after several months of renovation. These new books are part of our fresh new look—and thanks to you, our library will be better than ever!\r\n\r\nWith recent library staff turnover, keeping our collection up to date has been difficult, but your support ensures our shelves are filled with books that spark curiosity and inspire a lifelong love of reading.
