These science materials will enhance the hands-on, inquiry-based classroom that my students enjoy. Science becomes alive and tangible when students are directly interacting with equipment and tools to make sense of content. As my students return from distance/blended learning to in-person learning, these materials will make science real, engaging, and memorable. It will provide students opportunities to experience science before their very eyes, created by their own hands and minds, together with their peers. This allows for rich discussion, application of content and skills, and fosters a love for learning science. The joys of the oohs and ahhs and ahas when students see science come alive are priceless. They make connections between the concepts and real life experiences. The selected kits, activities, and labs will provide my students those moments. I specifically chose materials to encourage curiosity and wonder, to introduce new concepts, and to make connections to everyday life. I look forward to loving science together.
