While we have been using all of our new resources in our classroom, my students and I want to specifically thank you for the popsicle sticks and laminating sheets. We used these resources to create a math fluency board. Students do a timed math facts sheet each week. To make learning fun and engaging, we have a Mario-themed math fact board in our classroom. Students were able to laminate their Mario characters and attach them to a popsicle stick. As students master facts, they get to move their Mario character to the next math level. \r\nMy students were so excited to see all the new materials. They were specifically excited to see art supplies. I have several students who love art and creating different art pieces and writing pieces. To help bring excitement into math, I shared with the students what we would be making. They were over the moon. Having these materials and using them to create our Mario-themed math board has increased student engagement and determination. Our next steps in the classroom are to create a learning board for sight words. This is going to help increase student engagement and excitement in their reading fluency as well. Once again, we thank you so much for your contributions.","fullyFundedDate":1780502358825,"projectUrl":"project/title-i-school-classroom-needs/10311679/","projectTitle":"Title I School Classroom Needs","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Thompson","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-1_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10520180"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_55272","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":1002,"numTeachers":84,"percentFrplEligible":81,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":46,"percentWhite":42,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":5,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","percentHawaiianImputed":0,"percentMultiracialImputed":4,"gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"11.9:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"RURAL","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_REMOTE"},"inStateSupporters":73.2,"schoolId":55272,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Screven County Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Screven County Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/georgia/screven-county-school-district/screven-co-elementary-school/55272"}
