What may seem like simple supplies—pens, highlighters, notebooks, sticky notes—have already made a noticeable difference in the way students engage with lessons. Instead of scrambling for materials or trying to share limited resources, students can now jump right into learning with the confidence that they have what they need at their fingertips.\r\n\r\nYour support also strengthens an important soft skill: effective note taking. In science especially, students must learn to capture complex ideas, organize information, and make connections across content. These supplies allow them to practice structured note-taking strategies that will benefit them well beyond my classroom—preparing them for college courses, technical training, and real-world workplaces where clear organization and independent learning are invaluable. With your help, students are not only learning science; they're learning how to become more capable and self-directed learners.\r\n\r\nThank you for investing in their success. Your contribution didn't just provide supplies—it provided opportunity, consistency, and a learning environment where every student feels equipped to participate fully. Your impact reaches far beyond the pages of a notebook.","fullyFundedDate":1752092334975,"projectUrl":"project/tools-for-thinking-note-taking-supplies/9407551/","projectTitle":"Tools for Thinking: Note-Taking Supplies for Science Success","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Leger","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp4373306_orig.jpg?crop=355,355,x132,y280&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1750619753632","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/sydneyleger"},{"teacherId":8057082,"projectId":9508255,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for the donation to our project, Off to a Great Start in 5th Grade. We have used the supplies daily in our class! The scholars look forward to recess to use the variety of playground balls to socialize, practice their athletic abilities, and demonstrate their teamwork and leadership skills! \r\nHunger is always a concern when it comes to learning, and the recent government shutdown has negatively impacted families. The healthy snacks we purchased have helped fuel our growing scholars who would not have had a snack each day due to econimic concerns. \r\nLastly, the classroom supplies have made our science class run more smoothly. I use the trays to prep science labs each week, and our classroom is more organized with them! They are durable and will last for years to come! We have used the cardstock to make cards for a classmate who lost a parent unexpectedly, to write thank you cards for a recent field trip, and to build stations in science. I will use them next week to make circuit cards for our science unit!","fullyFundedDate":1755812388542,"projectUrl":"project/off-to-a-great-start-in-5th-grade/9508255/","projectTitle":"Off to a Great Start in 5th Grade!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Melanie Pitts","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8057082_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1715464004726","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/melanie-pitts"},{"teacherId":8057082,"projectId":9211184,"letterContent":"My scholars LOVE the new microscopes, slides, and resources from our recent Tiny World project!
