When I announced to the students that we now had replacement furniture, courtesy of your donations, they were so excited. Your donations helped ensure that, regardless of who the librarian is, the students will always have somewhere \"comfy\" for their reading corner. That excitement of just having a place to sit back and read has had an overall positive effect in multiple areas of the school.\r\n\r\nFirst, students are exhibiting positive behaviors in their homerooms and are motivated to finish their work so they can spend extra time reading in the library. This has increased the library's circulation of books and helped me, as the librarian, recommend books to students I had not yet had the honor of meeting. Also, the headphones have made it so multiple activities can happen simultaneously: I can lead a whole group activity in one area of the library without disturbing the readers. Also, as a school, we have already crushed our Beanstack goals for logging minutes and increased our participation rate by 20%. All this comes as a result of your generous donations!
