Doing so allows the students choice and voice and provides them leadership opportunities. I am especially impressed with how some of my most quiet and introverted students have begun to find their voices through sharing others' words!\r\n\r\nThese books also provide excellent mentor texts to teach different craft moves and literary devices.\r\n\r\nHaving an extensive and varied poetry library within my classroom is something I always hoped for.
