The cleaning and wellness supplies help us keep a classroom shared by many students throughout the day clean and comfortable, while the décor and classroom materials have helped transform the room into a space that feels like it belongs to them. Recently, students have been working on hands-on marketing and project management activities where they collaborate, create, and move around the classroom, and having a clean, organized, and inviting space makes those experiences so much better.\r\n\r\nMy students immediately noticed when the new materials arrived! They were excited about the changes to the classroom and especially loved seeing our space become more colorful, organized, and student-centered. I love that they take ownership of our classroom and genuinely care about the space where they spend so much of their day.\r\n\r\nNext, my students will continue working through real-world marketing, entrepreneurship, and project management lessons while also preparing to earn industry certifications. After learning the five stages of Design Thinking—Empathize, Define, Ideate, Prototype, and Test—students were given real-world problems to solve. Instead of simply writing about what a prototype might look like, they used the LEGO materials to actually build one. They had to think about the needs of their customer, develop a solution, and turn their idea into something tangible that they could explain and improve.\r\n\r\nThe students were so excited when they first saw the materials. The second the LEGOs came out, the energy in the classroom completely changed! Students who may not always be the first to participate in a traditional lesson immediately started building, experimenting, changing their ideas, and talking through their solutions. It was a great reminder that learning does not always have to look like a worksheet or notes. Giving students something they could physically create made the Design Thinking process much more meaningful and memorable.\r\n\r\nNext, my students will continue applying these skills to entrepreneurship, marketing, and project-based learning. They will take what they learned from prototyping and begin thinking more critically about how businesses identify customer problems, develop solutions, collect feedback, and improve their products or services. With the upgraded equipment you provided, I am able to deliver clearer, more reliable instruction.
