I wanted to let you know how much of an impact this device has had on our daily learning. \r\n\r\n My students have varying disabilities such as: visual and language impairments, and ASD. The iPad has been a great tool to use with all of my students and they are completely engaged! We have worked on things like; visual tracking, cause and effect, and vocabulary. My students faces light up due to the instant feedback and visual stimulus that the iPad provides. It has also been an effective tool to foster turn taking/sharing. My students love to see what their peers can make happen on the iPad while they wait for their turns.\r\n\r\n Your generosity has truly made an impact on the learning that my students are receiving in the classroom. The shelves from this project helps us be more independent every day.\r\n\r\n One shelf holds our fine motor activities. This includes hole punching, practicing with scissors, lacing cards, and our favorite activity which is play doh. The students know after we finish with one of these activities how to put it back on the shelf, and they are so proud of themselves when they do a good job of cleaning up.\r\n\r\nThe other shelf holds our puzzles. We do puzzles on Friday and they are a big hit! The students get to pick their play centers every day and the puzzle center was very popular the first week we had these puzzles.\r\n\r\nThese puzzles are so sturdy that they will last for years. I know that my future pre-schoolers will also love doing these puzzles. This center also gives them time to practice caring for the baby dolls, which is a great opportunity for my students who have babies at home.
