The stickers have made the journals especially fun and personal, allowing students to decorate their pages and choose stickers that represent how they are feeling or what they are learning.\r\n\r\nFor many of my students, talking openly about their feelings can be difficult. Having a journal gives them another way to communicate and reflect without having to share everything out loud. I have already seen students become more willing to write about their emotions and think about how their actions affect themselves and others. Moving forward, we will continue using the journals throughout the year as we work on building stronger communication, emotional awareness, and social skills.
